"I have been crafting all my life and was taught to knit literally at my grandmothers knee. Since then I have turned my hand to a variety of crafts including knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, cross-stitch, quilting and so on. I have always enjoyed making something that I can use or wear. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction. My greatest hope is that I can now help others get that same feeling. I am also pleased to see knitting, crochet and other crafts are making a huge comeback. There are so many wonderful patterns and beautiful yarns available now from retro and vintage styles all the way through to modern, colourful knits. There really is something for everyone."

Creating a Community
I want the shop to become part of the community as well as creating its own community. Each year Purlwise will support a charity and to do this I need your help. Do you know a local charity that would love our help, or have the perfect items we can craft to raise funds? Please drop me a line via the Contact Us form, give me a call or better still pop in and see us.
Whether you want to work on your project, get some help with that tricky pattern, browse the shelves or just have a cuppa and a chat you will always find a warm welcome at Purlwise.
